One of the country’s smallest secondaries – has the biggest heart
We believe that secondary school is a place for so more than just classes and learning. It’s a place to help shape young people into the incredible people they aspire to be.
And we are superbly placed to do it. With small class sizes, inspiring teachers, and a beautiful location, we develop and empower each student to fulfil their unique potential as confident, well-rounded adults.
…So they can change the world. Their way.

“There is a fine balance between academic achievement and a holistic approach to a child’s
education, and Cape manages to find that place by combining inspired teaching with a broad
programme of active, creative and investigative opportunities, both during timetabled lessons
and after the school day.”

The Cape Cornwall difference.
A place to
achieve…
Students of all abilities thrive at Cape Cornwall. So no matter your ability, we’ll help you achieve the results you deserve. In fact, in 2019, the last year of externally marked exams, we achieved above average English and Maths results, with a good proportion of our students achieving the highest grades (7-9).
Overall our students were awarded 44 Grades at A* or above and achieved 23 grade 9’s (A**). This was 5% of our total grades and higher than the National Average.
A place to
be inspired…
What do you expect as part of your school day? English, French. Art…
Yes, of course. But education is about more than core learning. It’s about new experiences and trialling new things. That’s why we dedicate one lesson a fortnight to extra-curricular activities. It’s a time to learn new skills, mix with different students, year groups and teachers and have fun too!
● Trampolining
● Football
● Games design
● Masterchef
● Pond Life
● Creative Arts Academy… and more
Inspiration for everyone.
A place to
belong…
We believe that students work best when they are happy in their school environment. That’s why we’re committed to maintaining our supportive community spirit. From other students to teachers, receptionists and lunchtime staff we all know each other and go the extra mile to support each other’s wellbeing.
If you are interested in giving your child an excellent education in a small and caring environment, you’re in the right place.
