Special Educational Needs
Meet Our SENCo
At Cape Cornwall Secondary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), Sara Downing, and her Deputy, Sarah Jackson, play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal.

Tracking the academic and personal development of students with SEND and adjusting support as needed.
– Liaising with families and professionals
Building strong relationships with parents and carers, and working collaboratively with educational psychologists, therapists, and other specialists.

Supporting staff in creating inclusive learning environments where all students feel valued and able to participate fully.
