Year 10 Trip to the Plymouth Marine Aquarium 2016
Dear Parent / Carer
Plymouth Marine Aquarium, 2nd February 2016
I am writing to you regarding the above visit arranged for year 10 triple scientists. The purpose of this visit is to learn about how the aquarium manages its conservation of marine species.
The school has subsidised the visit, but we do need to ask for a voluntary parental contribution of £9. We should be very grateful for your assistance with this to enable the visit to be financially viable.
We will be travelling by train and we would like to meet students at Penzance train station at 8.15 to leave by 8.44am and they will return to Penzance station at approx. 7.30pm.
Ms Walker is leading the trip with Miss Westaway as a second teacher. Throughout the visit all students will be directly supervised, however during lunchtime (about 30 minutes) students will be given the opportunity to buy lunch either in the marine café or in local shops and cafes.
All students should bring a pencil and pen and a packed lunch for the day or money to buy food. (students receiving free school meals may have a packed lunch provided for by the school canteen – please state on the reply slip below). Students are not required to wear school uniform during this day.
Please fill in the slip below and return it with Parentmail confirmation to the trip leader Ms Walker as soon as. Please make sure that the reply slip is clearly marked with your child’s name and the trip name and date to assist the trip leader.
Should you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please reply by email or return the consent slip given to you child as soon as possible.
