I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Head of School for Cape Cornwall.
Cape Cornwall School is a unique school in a very special area of the country. During the time I have spent so far in the school, I have already seen how important our community is to our students – it is the thing I have heard most often from the students I have met with. Both students and staff speak with immense pride about their community and it is very obvious just how important the school is to everyone. The size of Cape Cornwall School is its strength: every student is known personally by all our staff resulting in brilliant relationships between staff and students.
My vision is for our school quite simply to be a beacon of excellence where children thrive and are nurtured to achieve their full potential in line with our school values: dream, believe, persevere and achieve excellence.
Cape Cornwall School must be the school of choice for local families. I want our school to be a place where students succeed, a place where they gain the knowledge, skills and experiences to be able to make the most of all the opportunities that they have in the future.
I will take up my role as Head of School formally in September. In the meantime, I am very much looking forward to getting to know our students and staff team as I become a regular visitor to the school during the Summer Term.
I look forward to joining the Cape Cornwall School team in September and to meeting and working with families and the community to support our young people to achieve their full potential.
Mr Jon Hall
Head of School
