Cape Cornwall School Celebrate the Class of 2019

Staff and parents at Cape Cornwall School delighted in joining excited students to celebrate their successes in their GCSE exams, where early indications show students have excelled once more. All students including those with additional specialist support, have achieved excellent outcomes, scaffolding the next stages of their education. Cape Cornwall School has, for many years, supported children who have been previously unable to succeed in other schools. Of the children attending ‘standard provision’ even more students have achieved the new highest grades (7, 8, 9) with outstanding success for students at this top level in all subjects. Building on the phenomenal progress made since 2017, the results are expected to be amongst the highest achieved in Cornwall this year.

Speaking as joyful students gathered at the school to collect their results, a delighted Head of School, Mrs Sarah Crawley said:

“These are really wonderful results; staff are delighted for all our students. The new exams are much tougher and the hard work and dedication students have shown, working with committed staff along with the strong support we receive from parents has really paid off. I must thank the fantastic staff team for all they have done to support our students and to bring about this great set of results. We wish all our Class of 2019 every success in the future”.

Congratulations also go to our Kites students who graduated with flying colours and fantastic personal achievements to be awarded GCSE’s and other qualifications.

Thank you to all within the Cape Cornwall Community: families, governors, and Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, who worked together with the Cape Cornwall School staff team, to support students in their achievements.
